Hi Jon D. Noises are strange and hard to define and locate. The speedo tip from zipline was a good one, also, check your headlight bucket. I had strange noises on mine when the motor was idling at a red light. When I would blip the throttle the noise would increase or decrease in relation to the motor speed. When driving, the strange noise seemed to increase when I hit bumps. Finally, I took the headlight out and saw a lot of wires with plastic plug-in connectors. I wrapped them up in a rag, stuffed them back in to the bucket, put the headlight back in, and the bike has been very quiet ever since. Apparently those plastic connectors were vibrating against the bucket and transmitting all around so that I thought it was coming from the motor. Frank M.
